About the event
The  L. Russ Bush Center for Faith and Culture (CFC) invites you to join us  for our upcoming Drummond Bush Lecture with Dr. Gavin Ortlund on Thursday, September 14 at 7:00pm. He will deliver a lecture titled, "How to Respond to the Deconstruction Phenomenon."
Gavin  Ortlund (PhD, Fuller Theological Seminary) serves as senior pastor of  First Baptist Church of Ojai in Ojai, California. He is the author of  several books, including Why God Makes Sense in a World That Doesn’t:  The Beauty of Christian Theism (Baker Academic, 2021) and Why  Protestantism Makes Sense: The Case for An Always Reforming Church  (Zondervan Reflective, 2024). He runs the YouTube channel Truth Unites.
The  Drummond Bush Lecture was established in 2011 and made possible by a  generous gift from Mrs. Drummond in memory of her late husband Dr. Lewis  Drummond, fourth president of SEBTS (1988-1992). The Drummond-Bush  lecture series honors Dr. L. Russ Bush, who at the time of his death was  professor of Philosophy at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary  and director of the L. Russ Bush Center for Faith and Culture. The  lecture series addresses apologetic and cultural issues related to the  life and ministry of the Church.
